A Tip or Two

The husband and I had our 2nd anniversary yesterday. I feel obliged to share my learnings from the last 2 years with the universe.

The best part of my day was probably the big bunch of pink tulips. Maybe I don't give SK enough credit, he's pretty awesome (most of the time) but it's just so much more entertaining to make fun of him.

So hear goes, my top 10 list of learnings:

1. Don’t send him off to the grocery store without a list unless all you need is a tin of Planters nuts and a 12 pack Gatorade.

2. Don’t dare change the music while riding in his car, even if it’s ghetto rap. In fact, hovering in the general vicinity of his dashboard is strongly discouraged.

However, know that he will take the liberty to re tune/ fiddle/ mess with radio stations while

riding in yours.

3. His Mum is da bomb. You better believe it.

4. Ask for gifts. Have no shame. Trust me, that Coach purse is not coming to you because he was feeling particularly romantic.

5. On the subject of gifts, his world is cut and dried. So if you make the mistake of saying “Nothing”, you will get nothing.

6. He will do things to annoy you knowing fully well that it’s going to annoy you. He will then ask “Why do you get so annoyed?”.

(This includes turning off the lights and lurking behind walls)

7. He will not remember social engagements. Ever.

8. Wear your mangalsutra every now and then. This is unconfirmed but I think he likes it.

9. He will watch re-re runs of Two and A ½ Men and laugh with reckless abandon. However, the same promiscuity in women is frowned upon.

10. When writing greeting cards to your family he will ask “What to write?”

Ummmm let’s see, how about you write a poem.
