Not quite Edgy

After two weeks of not writing, I almost don't know where to start. I asked her for "EDGY" - you know - bold lines, unconventionally attractive, dark. The red&green had become old, so old I could see the damn mold. Besides "cutesy" is so last year. I mean I even had a scalloped border.

So here it is. My new template. If I were a sculptur I'd be whipping the clear white sheet off the crazy shaped oddity that is my work right now. If this were 1901 and I were a debutante not quite eighteen, then this would be my coming out ball. If I were a gay French chef I'd be smacking my lips in a well-rounded "Voila".

And if I were Lady Gaga this would be my look. EDGY.

(Incidentally, my new favorite song is Gaga's Edge of Glory.)

I'm hangin' on a moment of truth.

"On a mission to make thirty rock" The second line should be "Even when there's thirty feet of crap over you."

My Mum always mails me a gift for my birthday each year. This year, among other things, was a book called "Between the Assassinations" by Arvind Adiga. I hadn't heard of this author though he won a Booker prize for his work. It tells a funny, honest tale of small town India during the period between the assassinations of Indira & Rajiv Gandhi. To me, this book is edgy. It pushes the envelope by telling new things. By painting the truth.

I hope the end doesn't disappoint!

More to come. I have to write about what one little girl said to me when I asked her how old she thought I was.

Until the next post then.
