Say A Little Prayer

I entered work today to some heartbreaking news. A coworker's husband was killed in combat during the weekend. He was with the U.S. Air Force. I feel so incredibly sad. I didn't really know her until three weeks ago when we started working on the same account. She was to travel with me to a client site tomorrow. I know not what to say except WHY?

How do you prepare for a moment like that? That call or that knock on the door. One moment life is perfect and you're working on Saturday morning chores and the next .....

If you do read this post, do say a prayer for my friend. And be appreciative of all you have.

preparing for something like this is difficult.I understand this as we have lost my MIL in a road accident causing spot death. It is a decade now yet the moment remembered is frustrating and depressing.

there's no way around death really. you can try preparing and being ready for any shock life throws at you, but it always gets at you at a moment when you're least prepared. but we've to keep in mind that the person has returned to God and it's better to pray that maybe he/she's in a better place than Earth.

How terribly sad. I'm certain that nothing can really prepare for something like this. However, I hope she gets all the support she needs. Sending prayers...

Condolences. I wish her strength to move through this phase.

There is nothing we can prepare for, and if we live in terror of the future, we do not like our present and preparing for something like this is just not possible, as I see it.
